BITSian’s Day is an annual event conducted over the first weekend of August to take pride and celebrate the common thread that binds the entire “BITSian fraternity” together, our very own institute, and all that it has bestowed upon us. This special day has BITSians all across the globe brimming with nostalgic memories of their college life with some stellar alumni from diverse professional arenas narrating their experiences from campus life which has made them what they are today.
Even the isolation of the pandemic couldn't deter our aspirations, since we as SARC team firmly believe, the golden legacy of this tradition (more like an emotion) had to be carried on further :
This event was an interactive session with Mr. Ishan Bansal, the Co-Founder, and CFO of Groww, an online investment platform that allows investors to invest in mutual funds and stocks. Being India’s fastest-growing investment platform, Groww made it to the Indian Unicorn club in 2021.
🎧 This event was a standup comedy show featuring Garv Malik, a rising stand-up comedian who graduated from BITS Pilani in the year 2015 with a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. The show was conducted in the true BITSian spirit of giving back to the community and the attendees were encouraged to donate to the BITSAA COVID-19 Daily Wagers Support Initiative, a fundraiser run by the Pilani Campus and BITSAA for the workers affected by COVID.
The flagship event of BITSians Day, was a panel discussion with the leading venture capitalists who are none other than our trailblazing alumni. The panel was graced by distinguished personalities from the VC Space: Mr. Nilesh Kothari, Mr. Sundi Natarajan, Ms. Sanskriti Sharma and Mr. Krishna Hegde. What followed was an extremely enriching session full of business insights and current economic analysis of the budding startups and the VC space.

Co-founder of AlphaSense: The interactive session revolved around the exemplary journey of Mr. Raj Neervannan in building AlphaSense and its transition into a unicorn. The talk primarily focused on his journey and learning experiences from being a Computer Science student at the prestigious, BITS Pilani to evolving into the CTO & Founder of AlphaSense.
<aside> 💡 Being a highly successful startup as it helps businesses make better decisions, the usage of Artificial Intelligence it also enhanced the knowledge of the current startup ecosystem for audiences ranging from startup enthusiasts to veterans in the corporate world.

The theme revolved around reviving the magical culture of BITS Pilani with the rich legacy of 3 generations of the BITSian fraternity. To make the 10th year even more memorable our team introduced a new concept of 3 Generation of BITSians video titled “The BITSian family: then and now” 🎬. We created a compilation of snippets from all BITSians across various stages in their lives: ones that were from the initial graduating batches, ones that passed out a couple of decades ago, and the ones that have graduated recently to exhibit how our college life and institute has evolved over these years.
